Unfortunately, it’s not realistic to expect the government to allow a company to fail that represents a large chunk of the US’s remaining industrial production capacity. Bailing out GM (and their supply chain) was justifiable on strategic grounds alone, for the sake of national security.

To make sure you get a job, hopefully at the expense of someone who disagrees with you!

because you can’t put female heroes through the ringer like you can with male heroes

Au contraire. If people had longer memories, they’d be more skeptical of goofy ‘innovations’ that often end up being more trouble than they’re worth.

So you’re saying the Porsche started off as timeless?

Let me know if you need a letter of recommendation to go with your resume. I’ll forge one.

Problem: We hired the designer of the Pontiac Aztek to style the C7 Corvette’s rear end, and now it looks like a Camaro.

Meh, best way to think of aircraft speed enforcement is the same way you’d think of picking up a nail in your tire. Annoying, but one of those things you can do little or nothing about, so just accept it as the cost of doing business.

Honestly, I’ve gotten to where I feel better about sending my money to Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and other petroleum-exporting hellholes, than to the headquarters of the major US airlines. That’s why I prefer to drive.

(Shrug) I’d have no problem paying more to be allowed to hang around and observe/help. I know it would be a pain in the ass for the mechanic, and I wouldn’t expect a free education.

To be fair, that guy was doing a lot more than just “speeding.” Passing in the breakdown lane at 100 MPH is a different kind of driving altogether.

+1, this is classic Steve Jobs.

Ask your doctor if NippleX is right for you!

The centering springs are much stronger than you probably think they are, if you haven’t driven a manual before. You quickly learn how much force to apply to get into each gear.

Um, at the time, you couldn’t even DRIVE a 959 if you had one. It is almost entirely irrelevant, at least as far as the US market is concerned. A museum curio.

Integer overflows in timer variables? Wow, that is bush-league stuff. I thought there were strict standards for code used in aerospace applications?

I hear you. Personally, I refuse to buy one until they bring back the choke and ignition-advance control.

Reason #69,105 why I don’t envy the Secret Service guys.

I personally like the way, when you look up “hospitals” to find the nearest ER, it spams the map with every animal hospital within a 50 mile radius.
