99.64% doesn't sound like anything to brag about, honestly. It means that on an average Southwest flight, someone's bag is going to be "mishandled" badly enough to prompt the customer to lodge an official complaint. I don't much like those odds.

Exactly. And point #4 isn't always correct, for that matter. The base model may well be underpriced relative to its standard features, either to position the car against competitors or to bracket the pricing of higher-end models to make them more appealing.
If it works, why mess with it?
Seriously? This happens? A stranger who tries to climb into someone else's car at random is likely to be met with more violence than anything that Uber drivers have been accused of.
The problem with this attitude is that this "God" of yours mysteriously fails to show up when called to testify in court. We're left with the words of his self-proclaimed proxies.

I live in a world were my friends might give me shit if I drove up in a z51. They all own Porsches or BMWs. Are you telling me I should be exactly like them. Having an extra $50K in my possession doesn't make me a cheeseball in my view.

IMHO the 981 dashboard is infinitely nicer than the 991's, especially in Sport Chrono-equipped cars. The same clock looks great in a 981 and clunky in a 991.
Even 991 dashboards look pretty antiquated next to the 981 and the other cars in Porsche's lineup. It desperately needs a cosmetic refresh.
