Exactly! Aargh I wish so much that it was better. I really wanted it to be better.

Then you're with us in the comparison, or with me at least. I think Breaking Bad does a much better job showing Walt's descent - much, much better in fact. For me, Rick suddenly became a loose cannon, whereas Walt's been building slowly over the seasons.

I came into it with an open mind, honestly. I hadn't read the comics before, and I'm intrigued by the set up. But it was a disappointment, and I had to be upfront about that.

Exactly! I think that's one of the reasons we all like Michonne so much. She actually adapted to the circumstances - went with the flow.

Awesome. Getting to explore this series with other people was the biggest reason why I wanted to do this column, so I'm super glad that was the case. Hope you stick around for whatever we're going to do next!

I'm glad not everyone is having as negative reaction as I did. I hope it didn't seem like I was suggesting that no one should ever read this series. Tasha's a fan of Kirkman's other stuff as well, so I'd say def jump into that as well if you're liking TWD.

The complaint isn't about the shadow, per se, but Adlard going overboard on the use of shadow to show Rick's "descent into darkness."

Sorry we didn't get to it. I'm totally in your corner here. I think it's just another example of Kirkman not really having a handle on his characters. Her reasons for freeing Thomas could have been interesting, but we'll never know… which is a problem I have with most of the characters.

Hang on a sec, Jordo. Just because we have a problem with a particular panel in one particular issue of the The Walking Dead being done poorly (as Tasha argues above) doesn't mean you get to make sweeping generalizations about our ability to appreciate the use of light in art. You're extrapolating without cause. Yes,
