The first that I ever fixed was the dome light that was supposed to go on when the driver side door opened (an old FIAT 500D). I figured it was a broken bulb, but it turned out the wire had separated from the switch that was screwed into the door frame.

I’m certainly far from an expert in these things, but was told a pistol caliber cartridge can be very lethal. A 9mm Luger JHP can easily kill a person as a Mk262 rifle cartridge. Didn’t the VA Tech shooter use a 9mm and a .22lr pistol to kill over 30 people? But I think I understand your point...most mass shootings

I thought a Motocompo for $4,000 was steep.

Is that a Moretti in the graphic?

On the new season of Toast of London, Matt Berry goes on a journey to appear on a new Star Wars show...and here he is!

I think it was?

For a classic 60's FIAT 500D parts are suprisingly easy to obtain online, but can be pricey depending on what part I may need. My go-to’s are F.D.Ricambi and Axel Gerstl. With the exception of a few things, parts are interchangable among the N/D, F, L, and R models...even a few FIAT 126 parts will work on the 500 with

I wish more modern cars had rear hinge doors...guessing they’re unsafe?

I learned the basics from an old FIAT 500 (the 1960's version)...it was very easy, cheap, and parts are still available. So far, with some research and trial-and-error, I’ve been able to fix it myself (e.g. I was able to lift the entire engine out of the car myself since a 500cc two-cylinder weighs next to nothing).

Learned to drive on a non-synchronized 4-speed...it was that or walking. It wasn’t too difficult and got the hang of it quickly.

Any excuse to post a photo of my car...FIAT 500D. It honestly does “feel” like I am driving fast.

So I watched Aquatope, Re-Make, and a preview of Sonny Boy...I was impressed by the general quality of the visuals! Can’t comment too much on the story line, but it seems they put a lot of effort into at least making something interesting to look at.

Hey that’s my D type! But my interior is red/white.

True! I heard someone say only 10 things can go wrong with an old 500 since they are only 10 things on it :D

My 1963 FIAT 500D...it’s best to keep it within a distance where I could still walk home otherwise things can get dicey.

After sorting out all the parts for the rear bearings...I don’t think I should do this myself? In the book it looked so simple.

Apologies in advance, I didn’t read all the comments so maybe my questions have been asked and answered.

Yup, that’s my biggest concern! I do try to tap my brakes so the lights come one, but often forget to. Not for nothing, my car unfortunately has drums at all four corners. I recently bought a disc brake kit, but it’s been stuck in customs for the longest time.

Engine braking...or slowing the car down by shifting gears alone (whatever that might be called?). I was told it’s safer to use the brakes.

I think the problems is that this awful behavior is described as allegations”. I am guessing most people interpret this as zero likelihood of occurrence, without any consideration of evidence that can potentially demonstrate otherwise.
