Yup, I got a PS3 a few months ago because it's finally affordable and I fell in love with the Metal Gear universe after playing the shit out of Revengeance (I'm primarily a PC gamer). I'm having *so* much fun.

I suppose a lot of it is psychological... how you react to being swept away from near the shore can make a huge difference. I can definitely see how someone would drown if they start fighting against the rip current instead of just getting out of it or waiting for it to subside.

Have you tried learning? You can usually find courses for adults if you look around a bit. It's a pretty useful skill to have (and it's fun)!

I installed a mod that makes my horse invincible after a few hours of gameplay - got sick of the dumbass animal running into fights and getting itself killed - so fortunately I was immune to fall damage. That won't work if you're playing on console, though! :'D
