Pure white privilege, tbh. I’m Black and I have never laid a hand on a white person in my entire Black life without a signed and notarized waiver for fear of being killed. But White people feel totally comfortable putting their White devil hands on Black people as if the world is their racial petting zoo.

Ugh. People who speculated he’s autistic and who acted like being called autistic is the worst insult ever really showed their asses. But he’s probably a junior asshole based on his awful parents.

Our justice system prioritizes property rights over people’s rights. And never forget that women aren’t people.

I don’t see the Treasury or any other federal agency trying to give black communities reparations, so clearly, it is one, and not the other.

IDK. As a black person, I’d rather have money than be represented on it.

I actually think there is a such thing as white culture, in terms of not feeling like one’s race is a barrier to one’s success in America.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Do any pear-shaped women have recommendations for a down parka that covers one’s bottom, but isn’t huge on top (and thus lets a ton of wind rush through)? I live in New England and am always on the lookout for something like this, and have tried soooo many brands with no luck.

Do any pear-shaped women have recommendations for a down parka that covers one’s bottom, but isn’t huge on top (and

I don’t think someone who was born rich and became richer by taking advantage of people is a successful person. PBS airs a show called “The Choice” where they chronicle the lives of the two major-party nominees for president. It was illuminating to see how no one had any unqualified positive thing to say about Donald

Whatever her image is on message boards and blogs like Jezebel, it’s totally irrelevant to her ability to promote herself and her products. Clearly enough consumers see her as cute and relatable. She has a clothing line (sold at Sears), a makeup and hair care line, an extremely successful app, and a paid subscription

I have found a great way to respond to the advocating while female problem if you have work that deals with clients and external stakeholders: Remind the higher-ups that if you push this hard for yourself, you do and will push hard for the company. It’s the whole “Yes, I’m a monster, but I’m YOUR monster and you’re

THIS. Black men have a history of being abused by the racial justice system, but this is not the case at all. Parker got the same treatment white men get when they sexually assault or rape a woman: he got away with it. Sorry he doesn’t get to live the rest of his life without criticism and suspicion over his shitty

True, and some people are black and women. Simultaneously. Like me. Maybe this wasn’t the intention of your comment, but it’s upsetting to see people suggest he’s being targeted because he’s black. Black people are often under stricter codes of conduct, but I can’t live in a world where people suggest that Parker

As a dark skin black woman, the experience of shopping for beauty products is inherently racialized because I live in a world with an extremely narrow standard of beauty that often doesn’t include women who look like me. Most mainstream beauty advertisements and shade ranges for foundation act like women of my

Once again, it’s baffling that people in this post are insisting that pornography has no negative affect on men’s behavior towards women. Jezebel devotes entire articles to examining how images in other forms of media affect our own body images and society’s expectations of what is the “norm” for women’s body types.

It’s not inherently racist to not recognize patois, unless you’re a writer who gets paid to write about pop culture. We live in the world where people walk around with tiny computers in their pockets. You can only claim ignorance of something for so long before you’re just willfully ignorant and plenty of people are

Oh boy. White locs never look good. Most white people’s hair isn’t kinky enough to naturally loc, so they have to use a lot of products and it gets really dirty and disgusting from product build-up.

OH GOSH. I am cackling at “His four previous marriages ended in divorce.”

While I agree that domestic violence is not cute or funny, you’re making a false equivalency. We live in a world where men regularly hurt and/or kill their female domestic partners.

So, I’m one of those “Of course, I’m not an idiot” voters. But then again, I read nymag and remembered studying/memorizing this Bush family tree from an issue last year: http://nymag.com/daily/intellig…
