Beyond standards, where will all of the electricity for this new fleet of battery cars come from. My home State of California has not approved construction of a new electricity generating plant for two generations—-citing “Envirnonmental” concerns...infact, a few have gone offline...meaning CA has less power…

The concept of swappable battery packs is not new. It would require a number of standardizations...which so far, have not been established—such as physical size, voltage, mounting system, ventilation provisions, etc.

I live in SoCal and have seen that very same car in the wild...on Topanga near the 101. It’s worse in person...though the GM V8 sounds great.

I have gradually been reaching the conclusion that, as a group, Japanese are the most ardent automotive enthusiasts in the world.

Makes me wonder why there is a market for such expensive cars. They are entirely unjustifiable in an objective sense. Private aircraft are too....and yachts....yet they are built,they are sold, and they are enjoyed. Just because my limited means make such cars seem ridiculous, doesn’t mean other, more wealthy…
