Sure it is. By the literal definition of a sandwich, a split roll is fine.
Platonic ideal? I see cold cuts on two slices of bread with cheese/veggies.
So a sub on a split roll isn’t a sandwich?
Tons of sandwich places have food on a split roll rather than on two separate pieces of bread.
I think the issue with RBG’s ruling was that it wasn’t universal. She said that based off of Colbert’s definition of a sandwich, a hotdog was a sandwich. Which doesn’t mean much because a large part of the issue here is how you define a sandwich.
If I put on a pair of pants despite it being on solid unit, then a hotdog bun can be two pieces of bread.
That header image is perfect by the way. That girl looks like someone who seems sweet but really needs to take it down a notch, the exact kind of server I’d find annoying.
There was a guy who worked at a sandwich place I really liked. Super friendly, but good god he made the same damn joke every time I was in there. As you’d go through the line, you’d say what you wanted on it. At one point, I’d usually say “everything but mustard and pickles”
The fact that he can’t be doing this goofy shit with Carrie Fischer is so upsetting.
I think that’s entirely valid. I mean we could debate if sandwiches need to have leavened bread, but I’d say no, they don’t. I mean, you can have sandwiches on pita bread, right? And if you can do that, you can have it on a tortilla.
Ehhh sounds mediocre but I don’t care. I grew up on Winnie the Pooh. I had siblings but they were either several years older or several years younger. Winnie the Pooh was my best friend for years...the only thing toy I still have from my childhood is my stuffed Winnie the Pooh, and I’ve had that since I was two.
I don’t know...but the movie was actually really enjoyable, to my memory.
I think there are definitely several groups within the sandwich kingdom.
Good old Rita Moreno, always around to talk some sense.
I’ll be honest, this person is kind of right. While I don’t go to Chipotle very much any more because there is a much better fast casual Mexican spot within walking distance of my apartment, I would genuinely not be deterred by this news.
And kind of half of the second Incredibles.
The only way it can possibly be done is to essentially define sandwiches to exclude hotdogs, rather than just defining a sandwich.
Yeah, probably. I don’t understand why the line matters though. It’s a sandwich regardless.
And what even qualifies as “sliced” anyway? All meat is cut at some point in the process.
