Diesel is still more efficient than gas, so for the same energy output, less CO2. That’s good. OTOH, Diesel has higher NOx, which is bad for people to breath, and contributes to a lot of the pollution in dense urban areas. Worse of course when defeat devices are in play, and where a lot of older diesels are still on

This is great and all, but I really wish we would invest more in driver’s education and training to increase safety. We rely so heavily on our vehicles, why would you not want safer, more competent drivers on the road?
