Isn't vinegar a better acid than soda? Stuff's crazy cheap, and I like the smell (it reminds me of french fries - well, the white variety).

If you are in a situation where you are going to HIDE, then there's a good chance that breaking the molding when you force the door open is going to be the least of your worries.

Yeah, I treat my Fire well and always have it on a table when it's not in use. I was thinking along the lines of my phone which is always in a pocket.

I think I'll risk wasting 40 cents and buy a 3-pack of screen protectors on Amazon, no matter how good the glass gets in the future.

What about Rayovac batteries? Costco sells a pack of 24 AA and 24 AAA for 8 bucks, which is about 17 cents per battery, while the Duracells cost almost three times as much.

If I wanted to use a free, fun font, why would I ever use anything other than Comic Sans?

Can someone explain why I can't use dictionary words? Sure, I can't use JUST one dictionary word, but why is "Tr0b4dor&3" an allegedly stronger password than, say, "password123letmeincharles15"? While the first has random stuff, I would think that there's no way in hell that it's more secure, as the second password

Well, normally incumbents win, so it's not that uncommon for shitty candidates to run. Politics is a business, after all, and you do what's best for business. Why else do you think the current candidates are all washed-up or Ron Paul?

There's a name for that? It seems like something you find out when you're six years old, like that article you guys had about toothpaste and counters a while back.

So, if they want to ban cell phones, they're also going to ban radios for truckers too, right? Because they're pretty much the same deal, boxes you talk into.

I've been heating up my slices for the last decade or so in the same toaster oven, and I can tell you that if you want a crispy crust, it's a pretty good way to go about it.

But a toaster over set to bake accomplishes the same thing, since it's normally a one-inch gap from the coils to the tray.

Why would you put pizza in a skillet and get another thing dirty when you could just put it on a piece of greased aluminum in the over (or toaster oven) for a whopping six minutes.

Anyone know a way to set all the audio to come out at the same level? I know that "Volume equalization" lets all the audio that is playing parallel to each other come out the same level relative to each other, but I want to be able to have all sounds come out at the same level - say X decibels, etc.

Shit, I'd just install Windows 7, update to the latest IE, tell them "You have to use this version since it's new" and then let them deal with it - none of this lying evasive stuff.

Hey, is that image at the top from the new and "improved" DC reboot everyone's talking about where all the character are sluts now?

Just because I'm going to wear out my shoes by wearing them for 12 hours a day, five days a week, for a year, doesn't make it an automatically good expense if I pay $250, when a $20 pair at Big 5 does just as well.

I just buy a ton of similar socks, and when my 20 pairs whittle down to 2 pairs, I know it's time to buy more.
