Do people even still use flickr? I really liked it, but it seems like these days everyone is on Instagram :(
I don't even want one. I can use my phone just fine for any pictures I want to take (which doesn't happen very often).
Question: In my area, we have 311 (which I kind of jokingly consider the 'Tier 1' of 911; a service for non-emergency 'emergencies' such as "There's a dead skunk in my driveway," "My cat is stuck in a tree," "There's a strange dog in my neighbourhood," "I seem to have injured myself and I am unsure if I need to go to…
For me, I like the idea of talking to someone about my problems, but I have this issue where if I see someone face-to-face, it's ingrained in me to put on a "happy" face, even when I am not.
This. I like all the features it offers, I just...don't have a use for them :( I use Hashnote instead.
I don't check into places. For the most part, I am not concerned about privacy, it has more to do with the fact that it's too much of a hassle to bother. I use Saga instead and just confirm places I've been/for how long every week or week and a half. I don't think it's very accurate with telling me how long I…
I won't lie, I lol'd.
I will freely admit I am a couch potato (and wouldn't care as much if I had a washer/dryer at my house, instead of at my father's), but what I do is I will typically use Netflix as my "timer." Put a load in the wash. Watch a 45-1 hr long episode of something, put load from washer into dryer. Watch another 45-1 hr long…
It's because iOS users are willing to pay money up front (although, in this scenario, the app is free, so I recognize right off the bat my argument seems invalid).
Yes, this!! So much this! I want to listen to YouTube and save on battery life. There's no reason I need to have my phone screen turned on for most of the stuff I listen to on YouTube.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a parent. I was, however, kind of an asshole as a kid.
It's either work in a hostile workplace or flip burgers. I'd rather keep my 401K, my small amount of PTO and my health insurance, thanks.
I, too, find it ironic that Labor Day is supposed to be the holiday off for wage slaves everywhere, yet they are forced to work longer hours on that day simply because of back to school/retail sales crap.
Ah! Yes, I always forget that I have the option to lie :) When I got my first job, one of the questions was about 'teamwork.' Being fresh out of school, 'teamwork' in school was one person did all the work and everyone else didn't. Who was doing all the work depended on what grade I was in. Before High School, I was…
I wouldn't say I never butt heads, but I really don't dwell/think about it.
And um...how exactly could anyone afford a decent living if they were only working 2 days a week?
He could have made money off the previous app, too. He could have started to charge for it, or offered one that was more feature rich, or just said "Hey, I'm broke. If you like this app, please donate to me." Assuming he's not a dick, people might be interested in giving him money for an app they love. Right now, it…
I want good health insurance (including vision/dental), flex spending, a matched 401K, ideally 3 weeks vacation/sick time (right now I have 11 vacation/sick days until next July 1st when it renews. I work Monday-Friday, so a lot of that time will likely be burnt up with appointments that need to happen during a…
That would annoy me. I turn my WiFi off when I am at work because I want to avoid the notices of "Hey! Did you know you can connect to WiFi here?!" if I am at a place where I don't know the WiFi password, or a place I won't be at long enough to bother using WiFi, I feel I should be able to turn off WiFi anyways.
