For me, I still have my Android SmartPhone. I find I am much happier with it when it is on SILENT and I control when I get my information, rather than always knowing I just received a new text 5 seconds ago.

I didn't take it to mean she meant the SSN was ON the card physically. Just that the card contained the data for the SSN. I have no idea how true that is or isn't. It wouldn't surprise me if the driver's license is associated and does have the data for the SSN.
You would think if it is a problem of returning too many things, they ought track how much you purchase on stuff you buy, too? Just to weed out the people who will inevitably have a shitstorm because "OMG! I'm not a scammer!!!"
I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
If I remember correctly, there was a scientist who discovered life being created through the process of decomposition, but refused to admit/accept it because he viewed that life only comes from God.
My neighbours do some kind of Guitar/Drum/Karaoke Hero (if it's not outright band practice; I'm not sure. I've never bothered to ask), near as I can figure twice a week. Thursdays in the afternoon and Saturdays late morning/early afternoon. I can hear it through the floors of my apartment. Most of the times it doesn't…
It's not always about the neighbours. On my TV, certain shows/channels I can hear EVERYTHING just fine on a reasonable level. For other TV shows/channels, the conversation is quiet, but if there's a "special effect" (like in The Ring when the train goes by about 15 minutes into the movie after Rachel gets her neice's…
My thoughts exactly! From my recollection in 4th grade science, plants soak up the sun/CO2 during the day and convert it to oxygen at night. I remember it distinctly because I was so worried as a kid the house would run out of oxygen.
Do people even still USE business cards? These days, when someone hands me their card, I use CardCam to add it into my phone. It'll add both the picture of the business card as well as add the person to the contacts. There's really no need to keep someone's business card for longer than maybe 5 minutes if you're super…
There has to be some poor soul at the Big Networks who would love to point that out, but is terrified of doing so because they could get fired for suggesting it.
Enough to make the actors be able to afford a multi-million dollar house with 14 bedrooms. Too much, in other words.
Netflix?
I don't pay for cable. Instead I just use Netflix. Most of what I want to watch has ended and is no longer on the air except as syndication.
OMG, you know her, too?!!!! :O Small world!
unsure if my vote will count, since I don't comment much (and most of my comments are replies to the aholes who spam the comments with stupid work from home crap), but I personally use Camera Effects in combination with Snapseed on my Android phone. I'll take a picture with Camera Effects, modify it in there, open it…
Good God yes. You are correct.
This. It should not be sent back via email in the work place (because there's so much "spam" that work thinks you care about that doesn't always apply to you/that you really don't care much about). It should be a walk-up-to the desk, send a paper memo/thank you card or a call kind of a thing.
If parents didn't lie to their kids in the first place, the younger kids wouldn't have anything to cry about.
The only thing I need voice recognition for is (as everyone else said) driving. I'd use it for Navigation (if it even worked that well. HA!), but mostly I use it to call people to tell them I'm on the way or ask for directions (see the former; telling the phone I want to navigate to somewhere either doesn't work, or…
