Imagine how weird the series might have become if Frank Herbert instead chose the publisher behind “How To Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step-by-Step Procedures For the Compleat Idiot.”

“Aye bruh, this Hyundai Tucson slaps.” I could image something like this being done. Wrong and terrible. Like you I’m not even offended. Im just shaking my head.

As a fellow Black man, I’m not offended, per se, just bewildered.

Wasn’t the 3.4 also prone to intake manifold issues and death by Dexcool?

The season pass line is separate, you can just flash it and walk in. That combined with not having to pay for parking would be a huge timesaver. There's also food right at the entrance to the park and if you're only there to eat it should only take an hour tops

Because efficient EVs need to be able to capture and dump large amounts of power back into the battery and this requires large, powerful motors and very high currents in and out the battery?

I can’t believe how many people still don’t understand how this works ( no offense) after 10+ years of news about electric cars.

From my understanding: It’s easy to make dumb HP numbers for advertising with electric motors. You just dump a lot of battery charge. Especially given that you can just add in extra motors. Using motors with smaller peak numbers isn’t going to really give you more range in the end.

1) they’re making them with lots of power because they’re also very heavy.

Exactly. Give me 0-60 in 7 sec and 400 mile range...

Would love to see stats on min/max/median miles driven per rental. If, say, 80% of rentals are within range of 1 full charge of a Model 3, that could be pretty dang nifty.

You were test driving it and were being hyper sensitive to how the car was driving. Imagine if you’d owned it for a while and were doing a normal daily commute; you think you’d be quite as quick to react? Nothing to do with being a moron, it’s called being human.

Ours was green. Green everywhere. Green paint, green vinyl seats, green dashboard, green rug, green headliner. Green.

The 1970's were brown yellow and orange.

Most cops these days are dying of COVID. They are in the most danger from themselves. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-19-police-officers-leading-cause-death/

they also have bullshit like not getting paid while waiting for hours in line to pick up a load at both those damn ports in california. all those infrastructure bills a certain group keeps shooting down have money to update our ports so theyre not damn near last in efficiency in the world.

I don’t know who you’re talking about, but this GenX-er (and everyone she knows) has always known that Blazing Saddles is a work of satirical genius.

I mean, Rob basically says “nobody makes adult dramas anymore” in the same sentence that he mentions “Nomadland.” I guess times have changed a lot in the last 11 months.

All in the Family was a groundbreaking comedy. We could laugh at people with different views while learning things about society. The kiss from Sammy Davis Jr. is gold.

I called it LaQuah for so long before actually hearing someone else say “Lecroy” in person (and have others confirm that’s how they say it), that now I’m stuck with the French pronunciation and I can’t make my brain switch. So now I drink Perrier...problem solved!
