I watched Fallon Tonight for the first time in over a year the week before Christmas (Colbert was in reruns and he wasn't). It was - meh. Is "12 Days of Christmas Sweaters" even supposed to be funny or just cute and "likable"?

Probably a case of the actor being 21-22 and the character aged up for believability.

The biggest problem with Scooter is that he's basically a kid, for kids to relate to. But there's not much else for kids to latch onto in the new series and the people who grew up with the original Muppet Show wonder why the character's still so immature after 30-plus years.
