Power seats are a must for me, personally.  The seat goes all the way back to get in and out, and it’s much easier and convenient to get it “right” again in my vehicle with power seats than in my wife’s manually-adjusting seat.  That’s just me, though.  YMMV.

Another aspect that I can sort of get behind is the fact that coming up through the FIA feeder series serieses series’... system, young drivers are exposed to how a Formula 1 racing weekend works, they get experience on a globally touring machine, but most importantly they get the experience racing on the same tracks

So, with Logan Sargeant potentially heading to F1 next season, how much does that diminish Herta’s future chances of crossing over? I mean, how many filthy Americans will the Europeans actually tolerate in their beloved grand prix racing series?

I don’t see it in there anymore, but the previous version of the “shattered glass” design used to have a stylized version of the Rich Energy deer head in it.

Is there such a thing as a “pre-cycle refresh”? Because, I mean...

Praise be to our savior, Sir McParland, for not subjecting us to a freaking slideshow!

The front 3/4 angle makes it look like a hearse.

15 lanes still has to merge down to one or two at the desert’s terminus, I’d imagine.

Wish.com called.  They want their Batmobile back.

Plot Twist:  They are all kit cars.

The series needs to be available alongside F1, F2, F3, and PSC on the F1TV streams.

It looks dumb, will be torn off on the first speed bump, and I would bet will impact the range of EVs at an appreciable rate due to aerodynamic drag (which engineers have spent millions of dollars getting just right for maximum range).

I can give a pass for not immediately seeing flags on the side of the course at a marshal’s position during a standing start.  Those few seconds are an overload of sensory inputs to the brain.  It’s interesting that the in-car warning system was NOT series-controlled.

But, it lived with “sports starts”!  SPORTS STARTS, for Gooden’s sake!

So, uhhhh... how much does it cost? You forgot to tell the family that.

You are correct on the “not racing” part. I spent the whole time just trying to stay out of the way and not get run over (or run over anyone else, as it were).  As I said, I was fully aware that was my only way home when we were done...

Did the Corvette rear-end the Viper?  I’d be a little pissed, tbh.

I took my lifted 2005 Dodge Ram to the Nürburgring. Does that count?

Living in the Netherlands, I see these things every single day.  Even three years later, I still can’t believe that people daily these things -- sometimes their only vehicle.

I used to visit Jalopnik several times a day, both to see new articles and to catch up on the flow of comments.  Now, I only usually visit every few days, and that’s when I suddenly remember that I haven’t been here in a little while.
