Cinematic universes where there are more stories to be told:

But...why can’t the same gimmick be used? It is, essentially, a different audience. Or is that they feel the humor needs to be softened for a different cultural climate? The article mentions the prior jokes about the poor being in bad taste, or not funny, but that is the idea isn’t it? That he thought his comments

No sinks? How do you wash your hands?

I know that is his name, but it’s part of his character as well. That’s like saying Batman now dresses as a cow, but let’s keep calling him Batman instead of Cowman.

I thought the whole point of the original cartoon was taking a mean Scrooge (see that, SCROOOOOOOGE), where the sudden introduction of his nephews changes his world, and they create a sort of balance to his behavior (and eventually soften his heart). If that was all changed, and he is a nice guy who isn’t a jerk to

It is a very solid spy movie, but of a more reserved nature than the later sequels. It has it’s big set piece moments (some classics), and IMO is well worth watching.

There are new characters and a lot of new settings and creatures, so I’m taking characters you know and putting them in unfamiliar places and moving them on this greater journey. Oh I agree, and I love it. Once every few years, we have Tom do an insane stunt, run for an extended period of time toward the camera, in cool locations around the world set to the iconic Mission: Impossible theme. What I like is, Tom will keep being the lead as long as it’s his production company. Unlike Expendables

“Fox’s Kingsman franchise...”

IMO, he just isn’t big enough. Brolin got more muscular, but it also made him looking too lean. Cable isn’t big because he hits the gym, it’s because he kicks ass. He needs more of a brawler build, like Bane/Hardy in TDKR.

I get the gritty uniform, but I really did hope for his yellow and blue gear.

Anyone remember the movie Oscar?

Germain Lussier - I saw title, either on Netflix or some other service, and dismissed it due to the seemingly bad reviews, but you are correct that it can still be very enjoyable. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll check it out this weekend!
