Aluminum may not sound strong, but it sounds stronger than that carbon fiber stuff. I mean, fiber is like t-shirts, or bran. Do you want to build a car out of t-shirts and bran?
I feel bad for those learning to drive with these newer cars with their body-covered-bumpers. I learned the size of my Cutlass by actually bumping into things with my bumper...but they had bumpers too, so it was okay. Or, it was a wall, which didn't matter.

Pound for pound...yes, the Porsche is a better vehicle. But personal taste comes into play too. Just like I love the idea of the Miata, I couldn’t commit $20k+ when I still had that “hair dresser car” stereotype in the back of my mind.
