I recall hearing that the aftermarket paint like this would fade, or flatten, over time. Did the factory paint avoid this fate?

"Firemist" seems to be a finish, like "Metallic"...but I can't imagine what it would be.

Perhaps rearward visibility is okay parked, but you realized when actually backing out that it's a problem. Or the "sport" suspension that everyone loves is too harsh…
