On X-Men: I recognize it will never work and that if anyone tried it it would be an uberfail, but ever since we got a glimpse of "Shaw's view of the future" in First Class I've been hoping we see an Apocalypse tie in somewhere along the line. And while they're totally messing with the timeline (or lack thereof) in the…
You know... Until you mentioned it I really hadn't noticed.
I used to go down to the Florida Keys once a year with some family friends. Every single year as we pass through Marathon (if memory serves... might be a different island) there is a #5 parked in the exact same spot.

I had forgotten how much fun a Mini looks. Maybe I'll have to consider one when my Miata goes someday. It looks like those two were having a blast.
Prius owners.
Apparently the RWB auto-hipsters have convinced everyone that it wasn't good enough because it wasn't built in a shack in Japan and is therefore too mainstream.
Well, I know that sometimes engines that are normally Transversely mounted can be longitudinally mounted (the only example I can think of here is that 90's Escort GT engines are commonly swapped into NA Miatas) so it's still a possibility.
Now we just have to hope they actually use it... rather than making a boneheaded decision like using a derivative of the Veloster Turbos' engine.

I'm not passing judgement till I drive one and see the price, but I was hoping for a little more power or less weight... Okay, I was just hoping for less weight.
This may very well be the best thing I've ever read on Gizmodo.
I agree with the not about chasing numbers argument wholeheartedly... But the engineer in me says those "intangibles" cant be included since they cant be quantified. Purely by specs, the Miata makes less sense than the Mustang V6. Driving one will tell you otherwise. It's a question of emotion vs. specs. There's no…
No. For like... 2k more I've got a 31MPG Mustang with the Performance Package. It just doesn't make sense to me... Less MPG, Less Power...
Grumble... grumble... Where's the new Miata that might actually be worth its cost... grumble...
That would explain it. My last vacation I remember almost every dream I had, and they were "real" enough to actually bother me during the trip.
