I’m excited to see these guys tear it up at Road America this weekend. I loved watching the TLX-GT last year go up against the McLarens and Porsches and still be competitive, and to a certain extent I’ll miss how “out of place” it would look.

I’m currently scouring the new car market right now and this is becoming pretty evident. “Base” models are either devoid of features that should be standard by now (Cruise Control is the biggest offender), or so loaded up with gadgets that they’re not really affordable.

DP/Prototype: I’ll always root for Mazda in this Category, even though it looks like they may spend another year as a non-competitor. In general though, if it’s not a DP, I’m pulling for it to perform well.

I’m not sure what to expect from “new” Top Gear, so I’ll probably watch it out of some morbid curiosity to see if it completely fails. I’m hoping they do try to change the format, though. Give the new three a chance to establish themselves before you start writing them into the situations the old crew did. Everything…
