Roger that on the GM tranny...same basic tranny was also used in BMW Z3 if you can believe it (different ratios)...My 2000 Trooper was the tightest, most solid vehicle I have every had, bar none. Tight as a drum with no squeaks or rattles of any kind after 145K. Tranny did let go at 111K, but 10/120 warranty fixed it

Well done, lol....

Are there photos of the box? If I had that, it would be in the ad, right?

Don’t forget the follow up “I wanna get next to you”...Great band, they used to back the Temps before hitting it big...

Well played, Sir. I played this many times on my “Sunday Night Jersey Oldies Show” Lead singer was Jay “The Bird” Uzell, IIRC...

Fair question; I do not know the answer?

Does anyone remember Flash Cadillac & The Continental Kids?

This too easy....The Cadillacs....FTW....

MG stood for Memphis Group, but everybody thought it was the Brit sports car...

David Tracy is closing out his 401K as I write this, to buy this Jeep and to forsake all others.........

My dad is a 91 yr old WWII vet, Ithink I will call him tonight after reading that excellent article...

A few years ago I bought a ‘74 HiLux from Arizona on eBay for $3150.

My Dad had this car, ‘88 or 89 perhaps, looks identical. He bought it with 105K and we all laughed until he sold it for what he paid for it at 250K plus with no repairs other than the occasional tune-up. What a cruiser, great for getting on the interstate and going on long trips. For a long trip, that Brougham

Man, that was funny,,,almost spit out my coffee...

R. Dean Taylor....now I know I am old....

R. Dean Taylor reference....oh my goodness; I am getting old...

Looks like a ‘75 to me, I had a red one. Great pony car for its time. I see quite a few Celica of similar years, but very few ‘75 models. 20r engine was pretty sturdy and five speed standard trans was fun.

What’s so bad about the XTS? It is ‘old school’ Caddy. If I was starting a limo/airport runs type business, it would be my first purchase..

I bought one new in 2000 for about 24K; ran it to about 144K miles and sold it to a guy who was from Costa Rica. He said there they were called “King of the Hill” cause a trooper could go places the Fords and Chevys (Jeep as well) couldn’t go in stock form. My tranny let go at 111K, but I had my A/T fluid change

Hey, that 3.8 motor would move that Reatta quick nicely...Remember it is a Buick and not a Lotus.. I would buy one as a weekender for sure....
