@YoHoJo: I thought it was a good tip, honestly. Easy and functional. You could also use an app (jailbroken only?) to put a calendar on your lock screen, but this works well

@zimmi88: The menu is hidden when you load it (alt brings it back) which had me looking for the threaded option and unable to find it at first. Then I saw this article:
@zimmi88: You can view threads in Outlook and Thunderbird, but it's not nearly as nice as Gmail. It puts them in order like a forum lists chronological posts and indents replies.
I've had several nice restaurants do this for my kids. They love it since they can eat with chopsticks like the others. It's new and neat to them.

It appears to be "on" or "off" with the tilt. The ability to push the stick just a little to gently turn verses a hard turn is lost, and that appears to be the difficulty in the control. If he could work that out, he'd have a perfect solution. Right now, it looks like it controls as well as my iPhone 3G :)

They already use a different calendar than the rest of the world - why not move the prime meridian to make them the center of the world, too? Then they could have to do conversions to communicate about anything with other people.
