While I enjoy the idea of an iPhone that won't shatter when I drop it, I see this being used to make lighter phones with more stuff packed inside the same area due to the ability to make it thinner without sacrificing strength.
This is a great solution for places that don't want to split the check. I've had servers who would rather put it all on one and accept payment from several people. This is a good way to ensure each card matches what it should be charged.
