Break the unions. When they can’t impose what amounts to immunity for misconduct, things will improve.

When I came to DC in 1999, a friend of mine worked there as an unpaid intern.

They have been that way since the 90s, and I imagine it goes back to its foundation in the 60s.

Oh my god, “gotcha day”? My brother and I were adopted as infants, and it was VERY clear to us from the get-go - even though it was never actually said in so many words - that the days we were born were the days that we were born into our family, regardless of how many days it took for us to be officially placed in

This ‘family as performance’ shit is angering in ways I cannot reasonably put into words using my mushy quarantine brain.

I worked at an inner city Kindergarten more than a 15 years ago, and I am pretty sure we had a 10 pack of various skin shades, with several shades of brown. They are normally sold in teacher supply stores.

I still don’t see my own ‘holy shit, how are you REFLECTING sunlight’ white, but whatever...

Are we really living in a world where we have such little faith in companies that it is such a huge surprise they may sometimes do THE MORALLY RIGHT THING. People forget and people die.

Some marketing undergrad dweeb is likely to show up here and talk about how this is a marketing effort designed to enhance the bottom line.

Wow. That’s super shitty! Call up their competitors and tell them that, lol. Or go straight to your local SBA (though they may be extremely busy at the moment). All of the banks I work with are getting creative right now to win & keep business customers.

Working on that, you would think that a bank would want to keep a good client who’s been with the personally for 25 years and with a business account for 20 years, but.... we’re small.

I’m so sorry you’re going through that.

Not sure where you’re located, but could you move the classes outdoors? That should provide more space for larger class sizes while also reducing the risk of infection that a small, enclosed studio creates.

Are you going to keep open, as a vaccine is over a year away at this point?

That sucks so much. Sadly, I know you’re one of many many businesses going through this. I wish the relief programs were more focussed on the small businesses.

Any chance you’ve looked in an EIDL? Talk to your community bank, they can make 1% on the interest of a PPP loan, so they have an interest in getting you funds. You may still qualify as the ‘sole’ employee.

I’m sorry. This is terrible. I personally hate yoga even though I know I should be doing yoga but this really sucks.

I HAVE THOSE BOOTS!

The clown shoes are for the next time she defends Woody Allen again.
