KotOR II is New Vegas to KotOR I’s Fallout 3: it eschews the tried-and-true story in order to blaze new one all its own, and it’s far greater for it. I wish Obsidian had had the technical expertise and wherewithal to better express their vision, because it’s easily the best story any Star Wars game has ever told.
While I broadly agree that we’re better off with an original trilogy from Rian than some kind of KotOR adaptation... I really, really hope the games - specifically, KotOR II, and Kreia - are a source of inspiration for him.
While I like Revan, a lot... I’m not gonna lie, I’ve actually always found the Jedi Exile to be the more compelling of the two KotOR protagonists. The way the game approaches her service in the war, how she was treated by the Jedi afterwards, her relationship with the Force and Kreia... I really, really loved all of…
They probably know it as that old movie the “Red Pill” people are always going on about.
There really aren’t that many similarities, even superficial ones.
To be fair, Scott was talking about the aliens as biological weapons as early as 1979, and floated the possibility that the derelict was the interstellar equivalent of a B-17 bomber from an ancient war. Cameron seemed to think that the crew had come across the aliens by pure misadventure, sort of like what happened to…
Again, the whole reason the alien gets onboard the ship is because Weyland-Yutani directs the computer to take the Nostromo to the planetoid with the derelict on it. The movie might be about an alien killing humans on a spaceship, but the subtext is corporate greed and indifference to human life in the name of profit.…

Not all Spaceman indeed.
None taken. I say we log off and nuke the site AFK. It’s the only way to be sure.
Look, Eddy, this is a multi-million dollar website, okay? You can’t make these kind of decisions. You’re just a grunt! No offense.
This is the part where i reply with #notallspacemen, right?
Sorry, J.J. Abrams. When it comes to the new era of Star Wars movies, there’s Rian Johnson, and then there’s…
I don’t have any issues with this. The world created in the Alien movies has a lot of room in it to explore a lot of different subject matter - AI, corporate exploitation, etc. There have already been plenty of films with the xenomorphs killing and terrorizing people.
They conspired against the crew, who had no idea what they were getting into.
Prometheus and Covenant have been all about A.I., this has already been his direction for the past two movies, so this “news” is not really news.
In other news, James Cameron’s next Terminator movie is gonna be all about extraterrestrial creatures!
Thanos began with armor, but now he’s just wearing casual clothes. Confirmed that this is Thanos’s theme song:
