No, only if there was a risk of consumer confusion and an entire class of games being called “Preys”. Like how lots of people call all tissues Kleenex. You actually think this game launching would cause people to call a bunch of games “Preys”? Of course not. Generic doesn’t apply here.

Except it does.

This is why trademarks over common words are stupid :|

They made an entire scenario centred around the British colonisation of Australia and basically left out all the people already living there at the time (they get mentioned in the odd random event but no actual villages, or representation of any kind on the map)

I know it’s a delicate topic given we tried (and

That’s not really a good analogy. A good analogy would be Japanese cinema recasting a character as ethnic Japanese (is there a separate word to distinguish that from Japanese citizenship?) when the character was originally an underrepresented minority in Japan (maybe Koreans*?).

She knows she’s never getting a Black Widow solo film (sorry, but like Hawkeye, she’s just a boring human character and wouldn’t make for an interesting film)

Side note: Black Widow may be just a boring human, but marvel has shown that they can get behind a story with just a human (ahem Daredevil). If anything, a Black Widow movie could be a spy thriller on steroids. And people will see that. They keep seeing those Bond films- so why not a black widow movie?

I mean, I wish more people would pose these questions (why didn’t you cast a person of the race the original character is) to the producers/directors. Of course it’s good to have the conversation and get the point out there, but it’s not really up to the actors. Obviously, SJ could have turned down the project, and

I love it when movie folks pursue racist projects and then disingenuously try to cover their asses by feigning ignorance for being offensive. Almost as much as i love racism/racist apologists who parrot mealy mouthed excuses about people in Japan being hunky dory about Hollywood white washing (i.e. a problem that does

Uh... I thought the main controversy had been that after all that mystery re: quarian looks in the end Tali ended up being a beautiful human female instead of, you know, some monstrous alien from space like every other damn race in the game? Like, that’s what bothered me and I always thought other people were annoyed

You just KNOW they’re gonna do some stuff like that.

THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT TOUCH IN-GAME AS A FAN OF THE NOVELS!

Okay so in the books’ lore, there are two types of animals that can detect and utilize magic:

1) Dragons, whom essentially consume magic autonomously, which has the effect of making them biologically immortal.

2) Cats. According to the books, cats are known

They should add Nibbles to Cyberpunk.

Knowing about Geralt and Yen isn’t suspicious in and itself — they are both minor celebrities well known from Dandelion’s romantic ballads across the North. What’s more suspicious is how convenient Gaunter’s appearance is and how he knows exactly what Geralt needs to know. But it is cool that a character who could
