I imagine the same thing is true in Japan, but with Shinto shrines instead of churches. However, whereas shrines are kind of perceived neutrally in Japan, churches are a lot more polarizing here in the U.S. which might account for the apparent weirdness.

Probably would be a bit less obviously biased towards strategy (which is admittedly my preferred style) if it called excitement “tactics.” Because, honestly that’s kind of what it is: being able to react on the fly and maneuver quickly to gain an optimum advantage over your opponent. It still takes a lot of skill, but

We also didn’t know that Vader was an important relative of one of the heroes from the start. Vader was just the Imperials’ enforcer in ANH. Kylo Ren is (at least attempting to be) much more, as the child of Han and Leia, the student of Luke, and a direct rival to Rey. It feels much more important therefore to

Maybe. But chu is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a mouse’s squeak and pika is the onomotapoeia for sparkling. So the literal translation of Pikachu’s name is something along the lines of “sparkling mouse squeaker.”

I almost never fast travel in games for precisely this reason. Don’t get me wrong: I understand why people do it and I think it’s a good game massive sandboxes like Fallout 4 feature it: walking/running around everywhere takes a long time. But I do appreciate immersing myself in the environment when I get the chance

Well, it would be technically accurate, at least for the first four generations :P .

I’m not sure I would agree with that trajectory. I don’t think either studio is really trending strongly one way or another. Sure, some of Fox’s best superhero films (X2) were in the past but others were pretty recent (Days of Future Past, First Class). And while Fantastic Four reputably sucked massively (I haven’t

Fox’s superhero films aren’t universally bad. The Singer and Vaughn X-Men films have all been good. And there’s hope for Deadpool.

Hey, it may seriously damage my nerd cred, but personally Return of the Jedi is my favorite of the Star Wars films. The Empire Strikes Back is up there too, but IMO the redemption arc of Vader and the way in which Luke surpasses his own desire for vengeance to become a better person than his father puts it over the

Pretty sure it means discriminating against, excluding, or preferring one group of people over another solely on the basis of their cultural or ethnic identification. Which considering you basically just said Japanese people can’t write or when they do is “shit” seems to fit.

But Japanese game and anime stories are shit.

HYPED.

Well, to be fair, we apparently do play and dominate it when it comes to women’s soccer/football.

Huzzah! I actually really do like KotOR II / TSL more than the original KotOR, warts and all. It was a really original (and interesting) take on the Star Wars franchise. A shame Obsidian never got a chance to make the third game (which they did write up plans for).

Remember back when Valve and Sony collaborated to bring Steam to PlayStation 3? I wonder what ever happened to that.

That was just a concept trailer, not gameplay footage like the article’s talking about. And CD Projekt’s been upfront since the beginning that their priority was shipping The Witcher 3, not bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to the forefront. Once TW3’s out I’m pretty sure we’ll start seeing more of Cyberpunk.

So there are good reasons for Valve to have power, assuming they use it correctly. Right now, however, it sure doesn’t seem like they are. That said, nobody’s ever done anything like this before, so props to Valve for diving headlong into the fire, even if it means getting burned. There were bound to be issues,

I think they’re trying to avoid how hard the first game leaned towards stealth when in theory you were supposed to be able to choose between stealth or combat mechanics. By amping up the combat aspect of the game they make it more appealing/viable, although it’s possible they’ll overcompensate.

It can be a bit hard to get used to the 3D movement at first, but the tutorial goes a long way towards that and the remastered version of Homeworld uses the simpler interface of Homeworld 2 to make things even easier. I imagine it should take you a couple of hours to get the hang of it but after that you should be
