Agreed 100%. Sega's done all right by Creative Assembly so I'm sure things will go fine with Relic. Hopefully they also show an interest in the Homeworld IP and buy it (apparently the licenses aren't necessarily included in the purchase) as well.

Sega's buying Relic? Interesting...

Eh, I'm not exactly happy about this but it's probably a good thing. More data can't really hurt anything: as long as the study is conducted according to scientific principles with experimental controls and peer review it might even be helpful.

Here's a simple reason to think it's a fake (or if it isn't a fake that there's no connection): it looks too similar to the final design in the later movies

Why wouldn't Christianity exist in the Marvel universe? I mean, Nightcrawler's well-known for being Catholic.

"Aliens attacked Earth in both Battleship and Avengers — but in Battleship, it just seemed like a thing that happened because there needed to be some disaster porn and a threat for Taylor Kitsch to pout at."

I've read books 1-3.

Bah, it doesn't let me select Matthew Vaughn! I call shenanigans!

Most of them don't work but the Littlefinger and Theon ones are brilliant, if only because those two characters really do unfairly perceive themselves as victims.

I think most of the series listed here are supposed to make you feel better.

The first few episodes are pretty seriously meh. It grows on you as it goes and eventually it becomes much, much better.

CJA actually mentions that.

Funnily enough that's actually my university's mascot.

It is called Metal Gear Rising. And I agree, it's a better title than Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which was the original title back before Platinum took over development and essentially transformed the game into something different.

Yeah, I've got to agree with you. Raiden was nowhere near as whiny as people portray him to be. Honestly, he shows way more angst in MGS4 than MGS2.

Yep, not disputing that.

I think Tolkien wanted to avoid making it overt, because he explicitly had a distaste for allegories and faux symbolism. The reason it's there at all is because he tended to think of Middle-earth as a real place so, as a result, it had to follow his theology and personal beliefs at least in the background details.

I'm kind of uncertain about bringing Singer back just as you are, but let's be fair: he didn't wreck the X-Men movies. He left the X-Men movies, which then went sour without him (until First Class).

I honestly don't remember any racism or sexism in the books. They seemed fairly tolerant actually.

That struck me as well. I couldn't tell the difference and I think that had to do with the fact that Bricken explicitly said to look for the crotches in both cases.
