My thoughts precisely. Sure, Singer did a great job with the first two films but I liked how First Class felt like its own film. If Singer is back in the director's chair, I imagine the film will become much more transparently a prequel to the original trilogy, which is not a good thing in my mind.

Definitely not good news. Vaughn created a distinct style with First Class which was a refreshing take from the style used in the original X-Men film trilogy (including X3 even though Singer didn't direct that). So I'm not convinced returning to Singer would be a good move.

Plenty of Latin Americans are white, although they call it "criollo." In some countries they make up the majority of the population.

I meant a Doctor Who-style relaunch, not a Batman Begins-style reboot. I thought I made that clear in my original post but you're the third person to be confused, so apparently I wasn't.

Not what I was saying. The Craig films are a reboot.

No, like Doctor Who's relaunch (why I used the word instead of reboot or reset) it's just an attempt to re-introduce him as the character. The previous continuity exists and may even be reference to some degree, but it's a stand-alone film AFAIK. In other words, basically like every other Bond film that existed before

I think Craig's on contract for a few more films, but that's probably up for negotiation if they want it to be.

This argument always bothers me because we have no problem with actors of one European nationality playing a character of another.

Technically, Ben Kingsley is from Asia since he was born in India and has an Indian father.

Technically, Ben Kingsley is Asian. It's just that he's South Asian, rather than East Asian.

I think they're actually open sourcing the discussion. The way the questions are asked (the fact that they're so specific for one thing) suggests that CJA really does know most of the answers.

That seems possible. Craig did look significantly younger when he hosted SNL a couple weeks ago.

They actually were developed by the Manhattan Project.

I know, I know... Kenji's been trying to warn me for months now, but for some reason I'm just not convinced.

I'll grant you the point that I overreacted to what appears to have been a largely manufactured non-story.

That is more or less what I said. It's rooted in Arthurian folklore, not Biblical mythology.

"Their quality of life is diminished, especially during the last decade, but not much of an impact on the average length. "

In doubt isn't quite the same thing as saying it didn't exist at all though.

" It does provide some interesting discussion as to whether Egyptian woodworking influenced Jewish and Philistine craftsmanship. "

I am looking forward to this film so much.
