Fair enough, and yeah, I get that the BW costume is pretty tame by normal comic standards.

I suppose education might make the difference. But at the end of the day, the kids still go back to live with their Muggle families and their Muggle ways. And unless they're like Harry, they probably have friends and extended family who are Muggles. And they might even meet a Muggle they like and have a family all of

"That they're repeating his arc from Deadly Genesis or whatever his origin story was, and he's just been transmuted into a different form?"

I have no particular attachment to any of the characters bearing the moniker Ant-Man but I am a fan of Edgar Wright, so I guess I'm at least a little excited.

It's complicated.

"I guess Black Widow has that going for her, her uniform isn't revealing."

Right, but didn't that happen once (barring the Ultimate continuity), a really long time ago? I'm sure Banner's done just as bad if not worse given his long history of temper issues.

Eh, I don't really care all that much. It was an analogy that popped into my head. If it doesn't work for you, whatever, so long as you get my general point.

"Whedon had to work with what he had..."

"what's the point of say, a laptop, when magic is more convenient?"

"I was pretty sure Black Widow's pretty consistently been a good guy, it's just there have been more than one and it's just the sound of the name."

Hey, both are theft. Yes, the car's more expensive and therefore the magnitude of the crime is bigger. But the fundamental nature of the crime is similar.

My understanding is that it actually includes both characters, with Pym as a retired Ant-Man and O'Grady as the main character.

"In fairness the gender ratio of all superteams is made of suck..."

That's an exceedingly unlikely possibility.

As someone who's only recently entered the comics fandom I'm pretty intrigued by how controversial this film has turned out to be. Any particular reason other than the fact the concept being a bit less grandiose than some of the other Marvel heroes?

In fairness, Ant-Man is a founding member of The Avengers in both of Marvel's major continuities. More often than not, Black Widow is a villain.

Fair enough. I'm not saying I agree, but that's a far better comparison.

"Half-Blood Prince takes place in 1998-99. Each book constitutes one school year. "

"Gollum or Cesar were much more ground-breaking than this. Hell, I would say I was more impressed by the Hulk this year.. "
