He's also just a big fan in general of Western action movies, so it would make sense he'd favor the Western action movie directors who make an attempt at the kind of philosophizing he does routinely in his games.

"Sites like EnWorld became openly hostile to us. I am still waiting for an apology and atonement."

"What I want to see most is different ways of casting magic for any magic using class (vancian, spell points, powers, etc.) and not mechanics baked into a specific class (wizard for vancian, sorc for spell points, warlock for powers, etc.)."

In one form or another. As it turns out a lot of people really, really like it (I kind of have a mild fondness for it myself, though I think other systems work just as well). So they put it back in, despite the fact that the reason they removed it was because just as many people disliked it.

"There has never been an atheist, muslim, etc president."

Having looked at both rulesets, they're not exactly the same. As WotC promised, D&DN is a mix of 3e, 4e, and older editions, along with a few new ideas. It's not 3.75e the way Pathfinder is usually typified.

Their claim does justifiably raise skepticism, but so far they've actually been making a pretty earnest attempt at it. A lot of the thing people complained about WotC removing from 3e are back in, along with a lot of the stuff people really liked about earlier editions (such as simpler rules for skills) are also in.

Fair enough. I personally think RTD is severely overrated as a show runner but I'll admit that some of Moffat's best episodes were from that period.

I honestly wasn't aware if you didn't know. I've seen people actually make that mistake before. Sorry if any offense was rendered.

And this is relevant how...?

"I loved her in RTD's era.

Haha, let's pretend America's a theocracy. Very clever, let's all willfully forget that only one of the two major parties even resembles an Islamist dictatorship and even then only slightly.

You never know. SLJ did do a regular anime gig for Afro Samurai, which seems like it would have a much lower paycheck attached to it.

Technically, Fox was the production company for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which ran for seven years (although WB was the one that put it on the air). And hey, they renewed Dollhouse during after a mediocre first season that left audiences apathetic and advertisers lacking in confidence.

The poster for one. Myself for another. Plenty of other people.

"Are we hoping that pissed off Iranians will overthrow their government or something?"

Hostile much?

You know... I honestly just don't care anymore. If people want to buy it, power to them I suppose. But I just don't have the energy to care about Mass Effect anymore.

And you assumed I didn't know any of this because...

Technically, evolution is a theory, not a fact (understand that I don't mean it's a "guess," like many who say that do). But a theory has more weight than facts anyway, since in scientific philosophy facts can be wrong, whereas a theory is more pliable to changing observations and evidence.
