I have no problem with the “gimmicky” aspect of consoles. I do have a problem with the lack of developer support to utilize those gimmicks. Both the PS Vita and the 3DS supported a form of augmented reality. unfortunately few developer created any content and even fewer still got it right. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft…

SNES FFVI( III in the US of A) 72 hours over Thanksgiving weekend, start to finish. Bathroom breaks and food kept to a minimum. Towards the end my periphial vision began to fishbowl in and the moment I would look away to observe it would revert. I kept doing that for the last 2 hours.
