The number 17 Porsche LMP1 at the World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps ran a 1:54.755 lap time during qualifying. That’s only about ten seconds off from the F1 lap record of the track. WEC is getting crazy fast, with LMP1s that might even be able to lap Manor Marussia in a race.

As an owner, I can say this: “The BRZ isn’t the sports car you want, it’s the sports car you deserve.” I use it for track days and am not sure I really want 300-400hp in a car before I really know what I’m doing. On the street, that extra power would be useless anyway. I’ll take the 30+mpg in a great handling car

I’ve driven a friend’s BRZ and I have no idea why anybody would complain about power delivery in these cars. Are they off-the-hook-tire-smoking-speed-demons? No, but neither is an A4, which weighs 1,000 lbs more and only has 20 more horsepower. I don’t hear anybody complaining about them being underpowered, or any of

This is exactly why I am deeply in love with my E30. It’s still a 2.5L SOHC, 12V motor (but chipped with headers, so it makes 2HP more and a whole lot more noise)

The BRZ is the car enthusiasts love to complain about not existing yet complain even more when it does, then complain like whores when it goes away.

Obligatory:

And by “hilarious”, I mean “frightening”.

Now playing

There’s no video, and I wasn’t driving for the photo session, the owner was.

This guy also, typical banger crossover until sometime after 4k. And if you dont shift fast enough, you get to sit back and watch it build up again.

Torch, you’ve done it again! This post is the absolute perfect mix of insanity and plausibility. I find myself sitting at work thinking to myself “well you know as crazy as that sounds... it’d prolly work”.

Could have been?! He was!!

The “so he blocked his ass in” instead of just getting out of the way and getting the moron out of his life is where you lose me. Why the fuck would you want to hang out around a drunk and aggressive driver for longer than you have to? Especially near a fucking big rig.

Completely Camaro driver’s fault, but the work truck guy could have been unnecessarily aggravating him.

I am not here to say the camaro driver was right, because he definitely was wrong but the work truck could have easily prevented this. It’s a good lesson for all of us.

There are two cool cars in this picture.

I don’t know about a Caliber but if I paid a bunch of money for a major repair on my Miata, particularly something that had to do with the handling, I’d actually be fine with it being test driven to 100 MPH. But fasten your seat belt, dumb-ass!

It doesn’t even seem like the mechanic accelerated hard or beat on the car. A nearly 300hp econobox can do 100mph without breaking a sweat so my outrage level is pretty low on this.
