To ask if I still think about it makes the false assumption I did much thinking about it at all. It’s a FWD econobox. Hard pass, moved on.

Type R - sure, for the drivetrain in an Atom 4.  Thought about that a lot.  Just not ready to spend 100k on one.

How about stop giving out my tax money? Want people to buy more EV’s? Make it more expensive for them to buy gas vehicles, not give away my tax money for them to buy EV’s. Pretty simple concept. Then we don’t have to worry about all this other drama, and one (though very small) thing to ever so slightly slow the US

I’m not a convertible guy at all (targa or T-tops, sure, full on rag top = no thanks). Just adds weight to a performance car and I bet is noticeably less stiff than its hardtop counterparts.

S52 swap, though better than what was there, might have been cool 20 years ago. Now, it’s just replacing an underpowered engine

In early ‘18, I test drove a top of the line spec ‘16 - 2SS, 6MT, sunroof, dual mode exhaust, Mag Ride. The exact spec I would want. Was at a Honda dealer and they wanted 31k. I probably could have got them down 1-2k more. Miles in the high 20's or low 30's, good color spec.

Loved it. Didn’t love the blind spots but

When buying my ‘18 Sierra new, I looked at the loaded as you could get it Canyon Denali. The Canyon could have, marginally, handled my towing needs. Space could have been dealt with. But for the price - hell no.

It was a major source, but there is still plenty of areas where improvement can be made, just like the C6Z.  Carbon Fiber production methods have become cheaper/easier than when GM was doing it 16 years ago. I’m sure CF wheels will be an option at least. I bet there is some other trickery they could be doing as well.

C6Z is more than just the aluminum frame. Magnesium engine cradle. Magnesium roof structure.  Carbon Fiber fenders (at $2800/each...I just broke one a couple weeks ago). Less sound insulation.  Carbon Fiber and Balsa Wood sandwiched floorboard.

I like it. This is more in-line with the C6Z than the C7Z - hopefully there are significant weight savings like the C6Z saw over the base car. C7Z is a great car (sold well and is holding its value well too), but just isn’t as unique as the C6Z. C7Z is just a lesser ZR1 instead of its own, unique thing. I think the

The black plastic trim can be painted as an option on the base - I’m sure that will be an option on the Z06 as well.

This thing needs some love and likely hard to source parts.

I like the look, HATE that it is FWD.  RWD, I might be willing to say NP.  But if it was RWD, a lot more of them would have sold...

Plug in your handset and Android Auto or CarPlay is right there on your infotainment screen

That’s why you own more than one car.  My truck does the towing/hauling/family trip/errand duties (I don’t commute to work).  The 3100lb, 590RWHP fun car handles the enjoyable driving part.  But the fun car isn’t nearly as nice on long trips or in bad weather.  Choose the right tool for the job.

That’s a bad take for a couple reasons.

#1 - that 400 mile range isn’t really 400 miles. First, you typically don’t want to charge to 100% and especially store the charge to 100%, as that is hard on the battery. Depending on overhead left by the manufacturer, 80% is where you typically want to be. Secondly, you don’t

Enough with this “privileged” bullshit. First, know what the word means:

a right or benefit that is given to some people and not to others”

These are car for 50+ year old women trying to look cool and even older dudes trying to show off their bald spot.

CP at any price.

You must drive work trucks or something. Mine is comfortable, loaded with options, and pretty quick for a truck (should run low 14's in the 1/4 mile based on what others have done).

Nothing that is coming out will be useful at all for towing outside of around town.

How are you going to charge it with a trailer attached? Do you really want to stop and charge for 45-60 minutes every 150 miles (or less)?

We are a ways off before EV trucks are a viable thing to tow with outside of local towing.

At least here in Ohio, if I want to see the front of your house, I’ll simply go to the county auditor’s site and see the pictures there. Typically they have a new picture every couple of years when they do tax assessments. I also get to find out what you paid for the house, what you pay in taxes, and plenty of other

As long as it has wireless Android Auto, the rest of this crap is just bloatware.  As long as I can just ignore it, put whatever crap you want in there - I’ll never use it.

You should have a wireless charger, but screw having it on the dash.  Wireless charger + Wireless Android Auto = full win.
