PAY CASH FOR YOUR TOYS!

Reasonably financing your daily driver is fine (where payments ensure you are never underwater and don’t stretch past 5 years), but for a toy, pay cash.

Don’t have the cash - trying SAVING. This is a luxury item, not a necessity.

Our boat - we paid cash. Quads - CASH. I decided to dump my BMW as

Ride sharing services were never meant to be primary income for anyone. Just because certain groups of people decided to try to make it primary income doesn’t change that fact...and the fact they don’t get benefits or the pay they want helps point that out. Quit trying to make it out to be something it isn’t and

What is all of this nostalgia nonsense? I was born in ‘79, so this was right in my teenage years.

I thought they sucked then (because they did) and continue to think they do today. There was nothing cool or desirable about these - they were simply something for blue hairs to drive around to feel cool in their “sports

As people continue to leave their in droves. Businesses continue as well - both realizing that there is no real benefit to the awful commutes and stupid cost of living being there.

I bought my truck in silver, not because it was a safe color, or what was available on the lot, but because it was the color I wanted. Some folks actually do like the grayscale colors (I personally like silver, gray, and white). There were other color options I could have purchased but I got what I wanted.

My fun car

How stupid does one have to be to start their car and keep it running in the garage with the door closed?  This is how people commit suicide.  This isn’t some big secret, this isn’t “impacting the poor”, etc.  This is dumb people being dumb.

Yeah, inflation is a killer. My car stickered for a hair over 70k in 2006 (and likely sold for about that, being the first year) - now that is over 92k in today’s dollars; nearly 100k after tax/title. Yikes...glad I paid on 30% of that while making an additional 150HP to the wheels than when it was new...

Over-rev reports are almost mandatory on newer Porsche sales.  Super common.

The IMS in these isn’t serviceable anyway, so pointless to discuss one way or the other.  This isn’t the older single-row IMS or even older dual-row but serviceable units.

Yeah, no Android Auto, no care.  And it is 2021 - if that unit doesn’t have wireless Android Auto, get with the program already.

Yet there are many cars worth over that with 150k+.  I sold a 160k+ Escalade EXT in 2018 for $13,500 and put almost no effort into doing so and it sold in 3 days (washed, took pictures, listed on Craigslist back when it was free, first guy that looked paid cash on the spot).

Rob, the DME report isn’t there to show engine hours - it is specifically to show overrev counts, which is a very big deal in the Porsche buying world. This one looks really good.

Also, the IMS bearing is not a serviceable item on this motor (you have to pull the motor and split the case to replace it, aka a rebuild).

Filled my truck and 25 gallons in gas cans at Costco today @ $2.88/gallon for 93.

Paid $2.83 on Friday for 93 filling up my Vette.

Question: How is it possible to have high unemployment and labor shortages at the same time?

Answer: Government Welfare Programs

I’ll stick with my 60" Exmark zero turn, thanks.

Time to turn is a big deal when lawnmowing.  I went from about an hour and a half to 50 minutes going from a Home Depot grade 50" garden tractor to a proper zero turn.  This car contraption would take even longer.

Anyone who owns a PT Loser is suspect. Anyone who bought one new, especially so.

It’s a NP, just because the market is stupid right now, but I don’t get the attraction to these trucks. They can’t tow or haul nearly as well as a more modern truck at the same price point. Suck down fuel, unrefined, ride like hell...actually, they do nothing better than a modern truck, other than perhaps looks.

If I was daily driving again and wanted a 4-door daily driver (a maybe at best), this might be on the list. Being a torque converter automatic would have made it a much less likely candidate.  Manual or DCT and we have a winner.  Still, nice price.

I drove what was considered one of BMW’s least reliable models, the E9x 335i with the N54. Sold at 163k running fine, and ran a piggyback + backend flash for its last 50k miles, and previous owner had a less aggressive flash (Cobb Access Port) previous to that he took with him. No issues on that car related to the

Yuck, no thanks. All vehicles should come with wireless Android Auto (and CarPlay for the Sheeple). It’s 2021 and no excuse at this point.
