China like to lie. Good at it, no, but they like to do it.

I don’t believe this crap for a second.  Let’s actually see them put a production EV on the road that rivals ANYTHING from the US, Japan, or Germany made today, then we can start having a discussion.  Until then, just more Vaporware.

EV’s have been around for years, and in solid numbers the past few years. A fire department has had MORE than ample time to train for putting out fires with EV’s.

Tesla has cameras watching if you are paying attention - I’m sure if it was in self driving mode, it would have noticed and stopped if it was the driver

What do you expect me to tow my boat with?  What about people pulling campers?

Socialism doesn’t work. I EARN my living and pay a disproportionate amount in taxes while using way less services those taxes pay for. Why should I be required to pay more to own a car too? I wasn’t given anything and sure as hell don’t come from money.

I’ve been driving since ‘95 and proud to say since that time there has never been a time I didn’t own a manual. There were a few years in there where I owned one that didn’t run. Owned 3 earlier this year, down to two now (one project I am dumping, one is my toy). Manuals involve you in the driving experience.

Leaded fouls O2 sensors. Not dying to replace my two narrow band and one wideband. May eventually convert to flex fuel but only to run more timing.

Did you actually watch the documentary:

My truck goes weeks between being driven for several months a year, as it is mainly used for long trips and towing our boat. Yet it still smells new without an air freshener.

Came with cats.  Removed with an X-pipe in its place.  At my power level - yes, makes a significant difference.  No smog where I live, I will keep it that way.

Nothing to do with these murders by police - but stop with the air fresheners. If you car needs one, you need to do a better job keeping your car clean. And things hanging from the rear-view is tacky. Get your shit together.

Now cops pulling you over for that - total BS. Murdering you is obviously much worse.

I will

Sure are a some girly men posting here. Oil changes are easy DIY stuff.

I would cancel all front wheel drive cars.  Friends don’t let friends drive FWD.

My Vette has no cats. Double the gas prices and I will still drive it just as much.

Very clearly a “like father, like son” situation.

My wife and I watched this documentary a month or so ago (it was good). But to say transphobia had anything to do with he/she being a criminal is absurd (and he/she is correct, as Carmichael was a full-on crook while identifying as both genders).

Remember, this is a person who was scamming people, knocking up women

I have installed a good dozen or so of these over the years (many years ago...no reason to use these stand-alone units now). You rarely have to remove any panels, as the wire will stuff right in between the panels with a small, plastic tool to push them in (the wire is very thin).

A weekend? Try maybe an hour for most

Those parameters going down the list seemed reasonable until we hit the $5 million for a community benefits program.  I wonder how hard the F1 executives laughed when they saw that.  Then the scholarships...I’m sure they were rolling on the floor at that point.

I was thinking the same thing.

Yet pretty much every vehicle I’ve ever owned that could be optioned with a sunroof, was, and that is usually not an issue.  My only one that had an issue was due to a clogged drain and it wasn’t even much of an issue then.  There are some high mileage, older, lived only outside cars in my list of sunroof vehicles.

Family plan for Spotify is $180/year + tax. 5 accounts allowed, split with 4 other people. $40/year is pretty cheap.

Still can’t play Howard on it, which is the only reason I still have SiriusXM.
