The Stratus coupes are basically just 3G Eclipse with different front and rear bodywork. The mirrors are the exact same part numbers and the doors are exactly the same structure just with different outer skins. Coincidentally, that also means that a lot of the Eclipse stuff like Evo brake swaps and AWD conversions can

*pushrod to get to a piston

Presumably a connecting rod as those are directly connected to your pistons.  Even in actual pushrod engines there’s a ton of metal that’s between your pistons and where the pushrods live that it would basically be impossible for a piston to get to a piston let alone put a hole in one.

Speaking of safety, that’s another big advantage in the Mustangs favor. Since they are so popular, there are a ton of cage and rollbar kits available at relatively inexpensive prices. You can get everything from bolt in rollbars good for 11.49-10 second ETs all the way down to full on 25.x spec chassis kits good down

As other people have said, it’s the low weight and chassis. But to expand on that further, it’s specifically the Fox platform’s suspension. Most GM cars that came with a solid axle either had leaf springs out back or a torque arm setup like the later Camaros with either torsion bars or regular coils and double a-arms

Hopefully, just gotta get the rest of my Magnum stuff sold off first...

Nice! Mine is currently awaiting a Gen 3 HEMI and a S485 lol

A current gen A4 is 10" longer than the gen 2 Viper pictured, it’s more like the size of an A3. It’s almost an inch narrower than a current model year R8 and almost 5" narrower than a Diablo of the era (now there’s a wide car). If you want to talk European cars of the era, it’s almost two inches shorter than an Opel

I disagree, I see a better looking second gen Ram. You’ve gotta admit that it’s much better looking than the other small trucks from the era:

Very.

And they look really good when you start modding them as well:

That’s not really true. What if I told you that despite having a 96.2" wheelbase (compared with say a 996 911 at 92.6" or a Fox body Mustang at 100") it’s only .6" longer than the previously mentioned 996 and 4.5" shorter than the Mustang. It is about 6" wider than either of those two, but still it’s not as big as

I have no idea how nobody has said it yet, but it’s easily the 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota:

It’s already been built by someone else years ago:

The LS9 is supercharged which would offset most, if not all, of the weight of the turbos (two of them anyway, and then another two for the second engine. Keep in mind that the LS is also roughly 6.2L, so two of them would give you 12.4L of displacement versus 8.0L for the Chiron. Pretty apples and oranges comparison,

Adblocker does that to me on the Gawker sites if I forget to cut it off.

I agree. Even working on closing in the passenger compartment at the moment lol:

Indeed. I’ve got a ‘98 4x4 right now with 260k+ miles on it that’s perfectly happy behind the 5.9L out of my R/T. As long as you keep the bands adjusted like you’re supposed to there’s nothing wrong with them.

Drag Racing gets the same sort of bad rap. Until you talk someone going into their first NHRA race and they experience a fuel car for the first time that is...

It’s about an hour round trip from my house (not counting the in-store transaction) to the nearest parts place that rents tools, so after a couple trips it winds up being cheaper and faster for me to buy whatever tool it is. Probably explains why I’m running out of shop space already...
