The nitro cars went down to 1k feet after Scott Kalitta got killed a few years back. They were getting up near 340 in the quarter and most tracks just didn’t have room for them to stop at those speeds. So they cut the last 320 feet off for the Nitro cars (Pro Stock and the other classes still run the full quarter) and…
"The real problem is that the wing, which limits the functionality of the truck, can’t be removed, as reader Titan-E34 pointed out."
It is removable, though. Pretty easy to do so as well.
Several things. My Dakota R/T needs new front rotors, I should probably fix the sunroof in my Neon R/T at some point, I need to finish the LeMons car, and then there is the Cobra IRS assembly sitting in my garage that needs to go in a friend’s SN95... But I have a good excuse! I’ve got no room in my garage right now…
I corrected myself, they announced them in Novemeber 2008 for racing in 2009.
The new V10 drag pack cars and I think at least this new supercharged one run Powerglides. The older cars had 727s though.
I realize when the original Cobra Jets came out, but I was talking about the newer cars. Also, the Drag Pak concept was originally unveiled in October 2006, but the whole Cerberus deal happened and the thing got delay with the production cars being announced in June 2008, applications began being accepted in February…
They can run in a multitide of classes depending on the year and which one of the many engine combos they are run with. They could be had with everything from a Magnum 5.9L and 5.7L HEMI all the way up to this new Supercharged engine and the Viper V10.
The 9” is the aftermarket standard given it’s strength and the ability to change gear ratios by simply pulling the axles and swapping third members instead of having to completely re-setup the rearend every time.
Dodge has been making these for years. This is only the newest of the Drag Pak cars. The first Drag Pak was a 2009, the first of the new Cobra Jets was a 2010, and the first of the new COPOs was a 2012. If think you’ve got your order a little mixed up.
It’s because they imaged is cached on your computer from your visit to Allpar. They don’t allow hotlinking so it won’t work for anyone else that hasn’t been to that exact page recently.
Just presenting some facts lol...
There are tons of problems with that. Do you have any idea how many billions of dollars it would take to create a bypass around the Dragon? Hell, we can’t even get them to finish Corridor K, there’s no chance in hell of a bypass happening. The Dragon is the easiest way for most of us in this part of WNC to get to…
I'd drive the shit out of a Promaster Hellcat.
“A Dodge Viper GTS by itself is a quick car, with its 10-cylinder Hemi engine pumping out more...”
Yeah, and the Prowler hadn’t existed for years by that point.
