The AWD kinda kills mileage, I learned that the hard way owning a Volvo V70R. I never once achieved what the car was EPA rated for. The high score for that 2.3L Turbo 5 was 25mpg, and that was on the highway when I had the center driveshaft removed so it was FWD only.
