To be fair I think NKW as well as D&D admitted the rape. As far as the director goes does the scene he shot made through in its entirety? Did the editor fuck it up? You know like cut the last few seconds where Cersei gives her consent. And I'm not entirely clear on what you want. Just the director to admit that this

Sorry for double replies. but you didn't think "child murderer" every time he was on screen previously? If you can forgive him for that I think you can forgive him for this as well.

I think you're going to be disappointed in that regard. This isn't the show I'll watch if I am the kind of guy who thinks good guys should be rewarded and bad guys should get their comeuppance.

Actually It does. If Jaime doesn't think this is rape then he can go on pretending that he hasn't done anything wrong, which IMO, is totally in character. I mean this is the guy who threw an innocent kid to his death and justified it as "things I do for love." Is it so hard to believe that this guy wouldn't take no

Well if people can forgive Jaime throwing a litle innocent boy out the window, arguably raping your lover of 20+ years is pretty forgivable imo. Plus I'm pretty sure Jaime doesn't consider this rape 'rape'

Oh I'm not denying that the director fucked up. He could've easily made it unambiguously consensual. I'm on the fence myself whether it was rape or not. 1st time I saw it I thought "This is rape." But keeping in mind the character's history I can also see why some will see it as consensual.

I think the main problem is that we are using today's moral standards to a show that is set in a fantasy medieval times.
If you go by that time period's standards both Jaime's rape of Cersei & Khal Drogo's rape of Dany become very easy to defend.
Jaime is in a incestuous consenting relationship with Cersei and maybe she

Maybe Jaime doesn't consider this rape. We don't know what Jaime & Cersei's relationship dynamics are. Maybe she has never previously said no to sex so he just assumes consent????

No problems. You were probably just too excited by that story twist. Sorry for being a wet blanket :)

She very well could, but that's not what we are talking about.
The guy specifically raised the possibility of her being turned by Javadi which doesn't make any sense whatsoever. For that possibility to be true it would mean that Mira hid her religion in the hope that Saul would be stationed in Iran where she would be

Doesn't work. She was already married to Saul when they met Javadi. She didn't have any reason to hide her religion at that time.

Except that Mira is an Indian Hindu. There's no way she would be involved with islamic terrorists.
