(sigh) Newt, it's not new. The first smartphone (iPhone) that most closely resembles the tide today was released in mid 2007.

OK I understand you better now. As a teammate, you don't want to air your dirty laundry and you don't want to hurt your brother. Mostly because your brothers break their necks and their backs and their heads for you and for the team. (I paraphrase from Any Given Sunday.) No one is at 100%, especially late in the…
How in the hell do you know that no one has said anything bad about him OFF THE RECORD? That's the point about something being OFF THE RECORD, duh.
Instead of DOOM AND GLOOM headlines, how about, the RISE of the LATINO ballplayer? Relax, baseball is on the decline anyway.
Pro athletes are warriors and their bodies do belong to the cities and teams they play for. Let's remember who pays their salary and not give this guy credit just because he ignores everyone around him.

Kluwe is a good guy. Not a great punter. He was set up to be paid like a top ten punter this year, yet he performed like a bottom third punter in 2012. This is more similar to the Vikes cutting aging Winfield to save a few million, knowing they could draft somebody like Xavier Rhodes to fill for a lot less. Although…
Kluwe is in the bottom half to bottom third of punters in 2012. He is not worth $1.5M, which is in the 10 top of punter's salaries. He will get a job somewhere else and as a Vikings fan, he hasn't been good for us for a few years now. Remember Devin Hester? Yeah Kluwe is the idiot who fueled him for a few seasons.
I used to torrent Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire. Once I got access to a friend's HBO Go account guess what? No more need to torrent. I would gladly pay $8-10 a month for it like I do for Netflix, but guess what? DirecTV charges double that, so I get it for free instead.
It has the ability to raise money very very rapidly. Raising money for companies, for example, so they can buy equipment, buildings, hire people, etc. That's called an IPO.
Part of me wants to say that the coaches have too much power. The ability to sit kids for all kinds of reasons, change who they room with and where, what their "academic" schedule is, and cutting them when they get hurt or go through a rough patch is tough on these kids.
It's sad, but I would at least try it. Obviously I wouldn't want anyone else to know or be able to see that I willingly put a device into my rectum, but if the benefits are actually improved quality of life, longer life and prevention from sickness, I would line up to give it a try!
All these products are still in beta. None have practical uses yet. They need a way to monitor eating habits as well as exercise habits. Manually logging your meals doesn't count. I mean a sensor in your goddamn mouth that says, "Fatso, you ate too much last night. I suggest you run 1.5 miles today to stay at target…
Come on man. It's progress. Yes, right now it's overdoing it, but in 5-10 years if this stuff can tell you what you should eat to get more energy/feel better or exactly what to do to live longer, isn't that the point?
In Pittsburgh, saying something like that doesn't matter. In Miami....whole different world. College athletes really should get some kind of sensitivity training, you know to tell them just how stupid they sound/look when "praising jesus" and speaking out about sexuality.
Go join the national guard, at least then you can hold a gun tightly in your hand and have a purpose other than being a token idiot who can't read the 2nd amendment.
So does this mean I'll have to talk more clearly? Technology has made it so I don't have to write neatly or talk to people at all...
Bags of air! Bags of air! Bags of air! (stadium chant, cuz they're awesome)
Software is the most profitable venture since someone thought of a way to sell insurance. At its root selling software involves a simple copy and paste. After you've made one fantastic program, you don't NEED anything else to get it to millions of customers. You don't NEED sales people, retail stores, distribution…
That way makes sense and I hope that's how it turns out. I don't want to have to constantly activate and deactivate my devices since, personally I have a iPhone, PS Vita, iPad, laptop, Roku and PS3. And my wife uses her laptop as well, so I agree with you that the only way this makes sense is for simultaneous viewing.
