It’s sort of a highly accelerated parallel to Dany going full bananas in Game of Thrones, and like Game of Thrones the answer should have been to stretch things out a bit, easy up on the crazy set pieces, and add more exposition.

Naw bro, until you’ve walked a mile in the shows of a family member that was murdered your opinion about their feelings is invalid.  Have all the opinions you want about what the state should actually do, sure, but you can do that while leaving the families to their grief, loss and understandable rage.

If there are a lot of close substitutes for your product in most people’s minds, stay a million miles away from the culture war. The NFL and the NBA may not suffer for making vaguely “woke-ish” statements from time to time but the Cletus McSisterfuckers of the world don’t have a close substitute for the NFL.
