Well obviously, but the rich people would be doing it to be ‘green’ and not necessarily save money on their electric bill. It’s why so many of them drive hybrids and electrics. The cost savings just isn’t there for the middle class man yet.

This is a pretty shitty idea, but I could see it being profitable if marketed for rich peoples’driveways and streets in gated communities, especially in places where energy costs are high.

Question for racing/physics people: Would he have been better off just keeping a straight line and braking? Friction used to decelerate can’t be used to steer and vice versa. Not sure how being in a gravel trap changes things. It’s so instinctive to steer, but in this situation did that save him or make it a closer…
