It is important to show restraint when modding Skyrim. For instance choose the My Little Pony mod OR a nude mod, but don't do both at the same time... that just makes you weird.

Able to use content on multiple consoles, reliable (not like netflix where you get the content rug pulled out from underneath you from time to time) library, no stupid connection requirements - this is sounding more and more worth it every time I read about it.

how do they get rid of the water afterward? i mean those tubs have to be heavy as hell at that point and those inflatable pools are not exactly rigid containers so moving it without making a mess becomes a huge issue.

Size isn't everything. How you use it is just (if not more) important. Yeah, Skyrim was big, but a lot of it was also kinda boring and empty. If you were stuck with the console version, or if you placed the PC version before mods, think of how pathetically small the CIVIL WAR was. And thing of all the emptiness…
