Can you hijack your neighbor's ChromeCast? If your walls are thin enough, can you pair your phone up with their ChromeCast, have it connect to your own WiFi network, and Cast porn over to their TV? I set mine up and can't see any reason why this wouldn't work.

Because you can turn off any of the dozen devices around you. The kinect is ALWAYS plugged in and powered.

The answer is screw you, I'll just re-flash my ROM.

Fieldrunners?

I'm assuming this only works if you pay as debit at the pump and use your pin number. I pay as credit and enter my zip code.

While I generally agree with you, a lot of people take their shoes off on the plane. Consider someone glancing at the ground and noticing this laying there in the corner of their eye. It only takes one panicking person to screw over a flight.

Actually, you can stream your local files (sort of) from the Chrome web browser. You just press ctrl+o to open the file browser and then pick your video file. Then click the Cast extension. I heard it works but I don't have the Chromecast yet to try it out.

They've had this technology since I was a kid chasing ice cream trucks

I hear they're replacing GO with YOLO.

What if that person is buying it so they can donate it to an art museum? You know, to inspire kids and stuff. A lot of art in museums is donated.

Seriously, Brian Barrett screwed me out of 4 dollars.

Uhh...how is that exactly? This thing just plays what you were going to watch on your smartphone/tablet/pc anyway. You're using the exact same amount of data, only watching it on a bigger screen.

I think the main draw is that Google's releasing this to developers to integrate with their apps. I have a Roku and a WD TV Live, but once this stick gets rolling, it'll have a ton more features than the boxes I already have, or anything that comes prepackaged with a Smart TV.

True. They may be gauging market interest before having to deal with international orders.

-I read comics and books while commuting to work and need the larger screen real estate.
-I watch movies from my personal collection while on a plane that doesn't carry movies i like.
-I don't have to lug a laptop with me to presentations when all i need is something that will display powerpoint (i used my phone once

You could try a reshipping service like ReShip. I've never tried it though since I live in the states.

They need to get PlayOn, Orb, Plex, etc. on board with this.

Thank you! Exactly what I thought as well. I suppose it would be possible to create a streaming game service like OnLive, however I don't know how you would integrate a game controller into this and what the lag would be like.

I think you guys are confusing this with WiDi. If it were like WiDi, you'd be able to play games locally stored on your Android device and stream it to the tv. However, my impression of this device is that you are using your Android device to point it to content online. So unless the game's content is stored online

I think you're talking about an OTG cable. Yes, it works on my Nexus 7.
