I've got a variant of this, whenever the power goes out it get screwed up. They sometimes need to be plugged in and out repeatedly 'till they reconnect if there is a power outage; it's horrible if you have a ton of them. The only other problem is they reduce the bandwidth a bit, a direct link to the modem is about

LOL-What?

I can already run most games with decent settings on my GTX 460. This would be AMAZING for rendering complex models using Blender's Cycles engine!

Really, another unnecessary jab at the Playbook?!

Nice 'Shop. Looks pretty realistic.

Is RIM being led by a group of wild gorillas? I swear, they are TRYING to kill themselves at this point. I used to like RIM, then I hated them and their products, then I got the Playbook and thought they were making a great change. I love using the Playbook, bought the $600 model full price too.

It IS a great platform to develop for, but the OS is not secure enough.

No, I don't work for them. I just hate seeing people kicking them when they're already down. I own a Playbook, I use it everyday; I can tell you that the tablet is an amazing piece of hardware paired with some nice software. I'd hate to see the platform die, as it's my favorite so far. (Yes I've tried the iPad 2 and

I doubt the public will get those type of deals soon. It costs RIM $200 to manufacture. This deal is really because it's Cyber Monday. Gizmodo is blowing the story way out of proportion as usual.

No, it has a/b/g/n Wifi support built in. The current model can tether to many smartphones, not just the Blackberry. At the moment, the only way of dealing with emails is through the browser, or using a special feature called Bridge that requires a Blackberry.
