Virtue signaling is the only one I could see being insulting. To me, I associate it with people or brands who talk about stuff like racial justice, but don’t put any actions behind their words. Or even worse, their actions stand in contrast with their words.

The game needed this; we all needed this! And the way they’re making people wait for that album drop (chef’s kiss). The sound is just taking me back - and I about fell out my seat when Paak laid there dead LOL!

Progressives act like we have too many Joe Manchins in the Senate when in reality, we need 10 more just like him. The politicians who can win in red states will always be unpalatable to the Democratic base, and we need more of them.

Scream a better *franchise* than F13? Ok sure.

The current film restoration revolution is really fucking with my ability to date media. I used to be able to tell whether a movie or show was from the 90s/80s/70s/60s/etc. just based off the film quality, but the other day I saw some restored footage from 20s, and it looked like it was shot yesterday.

I’ve said this many times, but each of Brosnan’s films had a central idea at its core that tried to do something new and cool within the Bond formula:

Agreed, and this is often my response to accusations of “cancel culture.” We need to admit that most of us are replaceable. In a world of 7+ billion people, any one of us is unlikely to be the absolute top candidate for our job. So if a person starts spreading lies about medicine during a pandemic, or if a person is

Canceling someone doesn’t take away their damn rights. They don’t go to jail. They just lose money. This explanation is dumb. Is DaBaby ENTITLED to millions of dollars? If so, why is he entitled to so much money and not me?

I don’t think Night Court was ahead of its time. It was almost a bit behind its time, like the last of the really raunchy sitcoms from the 70s and early 80s that would have kind of a vaudevillian-influenced sensibility. Totally sex-obsessed but also kind of innocent like Three’s Company. It was a great show, really

The idea of America is a good one.

Here’s an explanation of what Simone Biles just went through yesterday from another competitive gymnast and diver.

damn... such a better ending.

I honestly can’t fathom this response.

He seems like a super nice guy, but this interview is pretty boring. He basically answers everything the same way. Really wish they had pushed him with some better questions.

What’s also ridiculous, they gave the passengers titles/roles. The 4 passengers were “Mission Specialists” uh what? All the 4 people did was sit in a chair, unbuckle, float around and buckle back in. Unlike the two actual pilots flying the damn thing.

Someone said it on here previously, but: the prequel trilogy were a great story told poorly, the sequel trilogy was a poor story told well. The acting, cinematography, editing, dialogue (at least in the micro terms of how actual people actually talk to each other) and overall lack of pretense are a lot better in these

I think he was more alluding to the fact that (white) rock purists think of the genre as a sort of island, free from outside influences. Originality that deviates too much from the basic formula is frowned upon by them.

blessed is GenX, for we lived the full idiocy of our youth with no video evidence to haunt us...

I live in Kansas City, which has a dozen barbecue restaurants that could all vie for the best in the country, and when family came into town, they elected to eat at fucking Applebee’s.  My soul died a little that day.
