James Cameron knew ... because he’s James Cameron.
James Cameron knew ... because he’s James Cameron.
ZING!
Oh god yes, me too!
Can it be a thunderdome? That’s still a cage match, ain’t it? I don’t care who wins - I’d just rather than there be one less of the two of them.
Aaaah Tawny! She was so, so very.
Came here to say this - you beat me to it!
So, he had months of time to pack up his crap, and he had a valet and all kinds of service workers in the white house and nobody could help the poor guy gather his laundry? ... let alone pack his boxes of stuff? Even if he was at one of his palaces, he’s a friggin’ “billionaire”, so there’s nobody he pays to keep…
I’m not optimistic. The vessel they’re using has been down and back up some 30 times. The stresses on that carbon-fiber tube are considerable. It would not surprise me if it imploded. We may never know, though.
I was thinking of Drywall Stilts, personally. With trousers that feature a long enough inseam, nobody would notice.
I believe this woman. The man is an id with 2 legs. I hope he spends a lot of time in jail.
I was hoping that he’d also get a snazzy ankle bracelet, because accessories complete any fashionable ensemble.
You’re making a fair point. The QM2 has luxury. The United States was not at the same level.
Mmmm. Fantastic Mr. Fox was easy-reach from a narrative perspective, as was Isle of Dogs. More challenging bit still accessible might be Darjeeling Limited and Life Aquatic. His films aren’t really so inscrutable.
Huh? As a Wes-head, it’s my favorite!
I think something like this game might do well to evolve into an SWG-type offering.
Okay, basically it’s 1) she’s easy on the eyes, 2) she really does sing beautifully, 3) she can play that country music and also things that are sorta rock n rolly, 4) there’s a kind of white-christian-homespun aura she’s got that keeps parents from being okay with seeing her music on their kids playlists.
My uncle drove trucks for many music tours - it’s a remarkable subset of freight hauling, and requires extreme attention to detail, planning and timing. The TSwift gigs were the ones he talks about the most - fun people to work with, high degree of professionalism.
Queen Mary. Neither a tiny wood boat nor decommissioned Navy.
I’ve done the crossing on the QM2 - there is a market for liner service. United States would have to do it better, or have something distinctive to compete.
She’s an amazing vessel, but given that nobody wants to invest the serious money to either make her run or make people want to spend time on her (or both!) I think it’s best to scrap her.
