I had to explain to one of the younger folks I work with what a “Hurst” shifter was, and realized that they also didn’t know what a quadrajet was. I felt really old.

I’ve only laid a bike down once, and that was on an icy patch on 98% dry roads in the winter (black ice in a low area of pavement). Screwed up my back royally for about three months. I learned my lesson. No thanks.
