What I kind of find amusing as well is that I don’t play Tekken or any other fighting games, but just from years of gaming, I perfectly understood exactly what that player was generally saying. It made sense to me. It’s nice that gaming culture gives you a kind of general fluency with franchises/genres you don’t

The one time I went to Colossal Con in Ohio, there was apparently some massive Biker gathering...uhh...thing? So that meant every time we would go somewhere to get something to eat, half of the building was full of gruff looking people wearing leather jackets with rebel flags and tassles, and the other half was full

i remember at evo a few years ago, the hotel was hosting an elvis convention at the same time. it was really cool talking to older folks in fake pompadours about our separate hobbies in the elevators. nice people.

Agreed. It’d be really interesting if companies made some of their old consoles and games open source. They could still legally limit using it for profit but I’m sure there’d be a ton to learn.

My first thought when I read N64 was, “could someone have found the Earthbound 64 demo ROM?”

Mother fans waiting on Earthbound 64 Spaceworld Demo to release....

I bought those Hormel tamales once.  That will not happen again.
